Closer on a Friday night

Wassup people! I am at home at 9:30, single and available, and in my own opinion, a decent catch, but alas, alone. Definitely my own shortcoming, I'm too picky. So realizing this tonight, I decided to throw on a classic that for some reason speaks to how I think most people see the concept of love. Closer, staring Jude Law, Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, and Natalie Portman is a arrow to the soul that shows you almost in a shakespearian tragic sort of way, how love works. The concept that you can love two people at once, but not really. How you can "fancy" someone yet leave them all at once. How you want to hurt someone that causes so much pain to you. In fact, it wraps it up in the scene where Clive and Julia have the breakup speech and asks the whole male thing: Is he better? That's truly how we think, amongst many things, the speech where we ask all the questions in the world yet nothing makes sense to us. How the woman asks if they can still hold on to some semblance of the relationship. Classic line: What does it taste like? It tastes like you, but sweeter. The movie is raw and it's painful, but captures that part of life that is so true, our concept of fidelity and love can be so twisted, yet at it's simplest form we all desire someone to desire us, want us, and wish that we would never leave. Check is some time if you can stand raw truth and emotions. I'm out on friday night. Peace......
